Inside the restaurantThe restaurant is located in the old RNLI lifeboat station beside the beach at Polkerris which served as the Fowey lifeboat from 1859 - 1922. Four lifeboats served here, crewed by men from Polkerris, Fowey and Par. For over 60 years, this boathouse was at the heart of the local community.

With 21 years of running the cafe at Sam's in Fowey we're bringing all our experience, fun, ambience, staff and fantastic locally sourced produce to create something truly unique in the old Fowey lifeboat house here on the waters edge overlooking Plokerris harbour and the whole of St Austell Bay beyond.

The three ingredients that a successful restaurant needs are "good staff, good ambience and good food and Sam's has all three in abundance" - enjoy!

The view's not that bad too! - Sam Sixton (2009)
